Google analytics is one of the greatest assets that any online marketer can have. You can see how people are reacting to your websites and where you should improve them. You can also see who out of your assumed target market is actually interested in what you have to say. One of the most interesting facts that Google Analytics has informed us of in the last few months is the extreme rise in mobile users. It is one of Google’s most amazing statistics but over 60% of all Google searches are done on mobile devices. Google analytics can show you the specific percentage of your website’s mobile vs desktop visitors.
The above table shows the data taken from Google Analytics for one of our clients. As you can see, 5627 sessions have come from mobile devices (Mobile and tablet devices combined). This is a huge 67% of all sessions during this date range! You can also see from this data that people on mobile devices spent more time on the website and interacted with it more (Bounce rate).
Now that you know just how important these statistics are and why you really need to monitor them, how do you get there? Below are all of the very simple steps that you need to take.
1. Access Google Analytics
2. Locate the Audiences tab and scroll down to Mobile.
3. Select Overview
Now you can see what your own statistics are!
